A brand new cosy knit, the Birdy Knitted Waistcoat is a super chunky, hand-knitted layer designed for texture, versatility, and timeless appeal — ideal for transitional dressing for all seasons.

Sleeveless in design, it layers effortlessly over shirts, dresses, and knitwear, offering warmth without weight. Finishing just below the waistline, it features a detailed cable knit to the front, a ribbed hem, and a plain back for balance.

The rounded neckline with a button and loop fastening, soft, sculptural shape create a relaxed yet considered silhouette — an extra-special layering piece to carry you between seasons.

As each cardigan is handmade, we aim to keep them in stock and ready to ship, though short delays may occasionally occur while your knit is being crafted.

Care

Made form sustainable, considered yarn to reduce the impact on the environment.

Natural renewable and biodegradable and 100% wool, sustainably sourced in Peru.

Pilling or blobbing is an inherent characteristic of all-natural fibres. Refresh your woollen garments with a pilling comb, remove any bobbles or fuzz as it forms.

Hand wash only in cold water. Use a delicates hand wash detergent / Pulsate gently, do not rub, giving your knits a gentle squeeze. Once done, roll in a clean towel to remove excess water and then dry flat.

Birdy begins in the quiet of early spring. A window left slightly open. Cool air drifting in.

The soft sound of birdsong as the day begins.  It’s that moment just before everything fully wakes — when the light is pale, the air is fresh, and the morning feels full of possibility. The kind of start that stays with you.

After months of weight and layering, everything feels lighter. The days stretch. The light softens. There’s a sense of returning — to yourself, to movement, to ease. This collection follows that shift.  Natural fibres sit gently against the skin — soft wool that still holds a trace of warmth, European linen that moves with the body, light and breathable.

Nothing forced, nothing excessive. Just pieces that feel honest, effortless, and alive in the moment. The palette is drawn from the season as it wakes. Washed skies, pale blossoms, sun-faded tones.

Colours that don’t demand attention, but settle quietly into it.  Birdy is about that feeling of renewal.  A lightness in how you dress, and how you carry yourself.  Like the first birdsong in the morning—soft, uplifting, and full of promise.
