The Nest Top is an easy, effortless piece, designed as a simple, easy-to-wear layer in Made in The Make Shed’s our beautifully soft linen.

With a clean, minimal cut, shape is created through soft gathering across the front and back, adding gentle movement and texture. The loose, natural neckline and pull-on design enhance its relaxed, unfussy feel, finishing with a soft neat loose fitting cuff.

Loose and floaty, it’s a perfect everyday piece — light, comfortable, and easy to wear.

Care

100% linen

Wash at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat. Dark colours may bleed initially so wash separately. Linen will always seize up after washing but as soon as you start to use/wear it the fibres relax again.

Never dry linen in direct sunlight as the colour can bleach and fade.

Birdy begins in the quiet of early spring. A window left slightly open. Cool air drifting in.

The soft sound of birdsong as the day begins.  It’s that moment just before everything fully wakes — when the light is pale, the air is fresh, and the morning feels full of possibility. The kind of start that stays with you.

After months of weight and layering, everything feels lighter. The days stretch. The light softens. There’s a sense of returning — to yourself, to movement, to ease. This collection follows that shift.  Natural fibres sit gently against the skin — soft wool that still holds a trace of warmth, European linen that moves with the body, light and breathable.

Nothing forced, nothing excessive. Just pieces that feel honest, effortless, and alive in the moment.   The palette is drawn from the season as it wakes. Washed skies, pale blossoms, sun-faded tones.

Colours that don’t demand attention, but settle quietly into it.  Birdy is about that feeling of renewal.  A lightness in how you dress, and how you carry yourself.  Like the first birdsong in the morning—soft, uplifting, and full of promise.
