Our Plume Dress is a trapeze-shaped silhouette with Floaty, textured sleeves and a beautifully voluminous drape. Fully lined and designed for ease and movement, it combines structure with softness.

Featuring a round bound neckline with button and loop back, a detachable sash tie waist, the dress can be drawn in to create shape or left loose for a more relaxed fit. The Frilly of the sleeves are echoed on the hemline of the dress, creating  gracefully symmetry.

Complete with side pockets, the dress falls to the upper ankle  or is also available in a shorter length. (see measurements)

Available in two colourways.

We only make the dresses up in small batches so  please feel free to enquire regard stock availability.

100% Linen – Made in The Make Shed’s own soft European linen.

 

Care

100% linen

Wash at 30 degrees with a non bio detergent. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat. Dark colours may bleed initially so wash separately. Linen will always seize up after washing but as soon as you start to use/wear it the fibres relax again.

Never dry linen in direct sunlight as the colour can bleach and fade.

Birdy — Spring/Summer Collection 2026

Designed and constructed in the UK, Birdy is a new collection from The Make Shed

Birdy begins in the quiet of early spring. A window left slightly open. Cool air drifting in.

The soft sound of birdsong as the day begins.  It’s that moment just before everything fully wakes — when the light is pale, the air is fresh, and the morning feels full of possibility. The kind of start that stays with you.

After months of weight and layering, everything feels lighter. The days stretch. The light softens. There’s a sense of returning — to yourself, to movement, to ease. This collection follows that shift.  Natural fibres sit gently against the skin — soft wool that still holds a trace of warmth, European linen that moves with the body, light and breathable.

Nothing forced, nothing excessive. Just pieces that feel honest, effortless, and alive in the moment.   The palette is drawn from the season as it wakes. Washed skies, pale blossoms, sun-faded tones.

Colours that don’t demand attention, but settle quietly into it.  Birdy is about that feeling of renewal.  A lightness in how you dress, and how you carry yourself.  Like the first birdsong in the morning—soft, uplifting, and full of promise.
